The uncrewed Artemis I mission concluded successfully in 2022. Artemis II commenced on April 2, 2026, lifting off from Kennedy Space Center with a crew of four aboard the Orion module. The objective is to orbit the Moon and return to Earth within ten days. This journey will evaluate equipment and technologies that may enable human lunar landings after more than half a century, planned for the Artemis IV mission in 2028.
